hindrances to the bamboo shrine -
turn the town of murk and mud
into a scene of optimism, of one
that retains its soft-skinned youth.
And the passengers of each caravan
sense the spiritual force they bring -
the oil, the pastel urns of spring,
the metal chimes that lure bathers
from their shoji-walled homes.

Its a well written poem, to be honest. I like it - I didn't fully comprehend the imagery as is, but I think that you've done a decent job with the imagery in this one, so I'll give you kudos for making me think and ponder about what this poem yearns to imply with its contents and themes.
